At Things from The Heart, every donation and every purchase helps strengthen our community by meeting real needs with compassion, dignity, and purpose. Your support reaches people in some of their most vulnerable moments—offering practical help, hope, and a path forward.
We are guided by the calling found in Psalm 82:3–4:
“Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
This Scripture shapes everything we do and reminds us that poverty, injustice, and hardship are not just challenges to observe—but needs we are called to respond to.
Because of you, we are able to walk alongside single mothers and single parents—many escaping abusive or violent situations—helping them restart their lives with clothing, household items, and compassionate support. We assist families working toward stability, provide interview ready clothing for those seeking employment, and help seniors whose needs might otherwise go unmet. Through our resale shop, we also create meaningful jobs that sustain individuals and strengthen our mission.
We serve a community where the poverty rate is nearly twice the national average, and the rising cost of living continues to place a strain on families and individuals. Our focus is simple and intentional: to meet needs with compassion and affordability. By offering quality clothing, furniture, and home goods at low, competitive prices, we make it possible for everyone to access items that bring comfort, confidence, and dignity.
Things from The Heart is a faith-based organization, and our mission is to provide a Christian witness by demonstrating the love of God in practical, tangible ways. We strive for every person who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, valued, and cared for—regardless of their circumstances.
Our purpose extends beyond the resale shop. Things From The Heart Resale Shop is just the beginning of our service to the community, supporting broader outreach and community development programs that enhance quality of life and bring hope where it is needed most.
We invite you to become part of this story. Whether you donate, shop, or volunteer, your involvement makes a lasting difference. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of this mission, and we are deeply grateful for those who serve alongside us.
Join us in caring for our community—defending the vulnerable, restoring dignity, and sharing God’s love, one life at a time.
